I started as a hairstylist in 2012 after attending Aveda SoHo in NYC. I began my career working under celebrity hair colorists’ and stylists’ at Frederic Fekkai at the flagship location on 5th avenue. It was my first exposure to the French technique of hair painting known as balayage, or to sweep in French.

In addition to education while assisting at Fekkai, I had the opportunity to attend ABC Cutting and ABC Colour Courses at Vidal Sassoon in London to study precision hair cutting techniques and advanced foil placements. Though out my hairstyling career I have taken time for education and I have enjoyed learning and applying French hair cutting techniques.

I often find that a clients lifestyle and their commitment to their esthetic are the top contributing factors along with facial harmony when working as a colorist. I take into consideration bone structure and how the hair naturally flows along with texture while blending techniques.

I look forward to being inspired and my hope is also to inspire others. I hold dual Bachelor of Science Degrees in Biology and Psychology, Magna cum laude, from the University of Colorado, Denver. I enjoy learning about molecular biology and cascade pathways, organic chemistry and its application in hair color, and many forms of art. Below are some courses I’ve taken, although there are more.
